Chronic Fatigue Syndrome,
Fibromyalgia and Post-Viral Syndrome
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) is a debilitating fatigue described as exhaustion, and poor stamina with flu-like symptoms, including extreme fatigue, general pain, mental fogginess and gastro-intestinal problems. It is also referred to as chronic fatigue immune dysfunction syndrome (CFIDS) and has been known as chronic Epstein-Barr virus (CEBV), the virus suspected to be responsible for the condition.
Fibromyalgia and post-viral syndrome are very similar conditions with similar symptoms but different proportions, for example, fibromyalgia patients tend to have more aches and pain with slightly less fatigue and CFS patients have more fatigue and less pain, though there are always exceptions.
These conditions are best treated with a combination treatment. Primarily, hypnotherapy and acupuncture. Major improvements can be made.
